The Al-Marnich Farm and Nature Resort is comprised of three quaint homesteads dating back to the 1700s. It still has the original stables handed down by previous generations. All buildings have been expertly restored, putting together the time-old successful Italian recipe of stone, earth and wood to accentuate their originality and purposeful use in these modern days. In olden times the local workers of the fields used these humble edifices for breeding their stock, growing and storing food in a practical self-sufficient manner and rearing their families. In those days there were goats, sheep and cattle all about. It was a favourite part of the Valley Intelvi featuring the nearby town of Schignano with its famous ‘Carnevale’.
